He was calling you a nigger and he was calling the bartender a faggot or some garbled non-sense. As the bartender was asking him to leave because he was interrupting our show. From what I have seen that bartender has had to deal with a lot of crap so if there are ever any ways to help him we should probably try.

The venue does have aids, I agree. But try not to acknowledge it to the people that we subject to our monthly comedy... thing.

Despite the weird guy I had fun at the show. I would rather sit through an hour of laughs than a begrudgingly long open mic with 15 minutes with a few mild chuckles.

PBR poured on top of AIDS is delicious if you bake it at 350 for 45 minutes. YUM!

Speaking of AIDS, I just want to chime in here and say that yesterday I got a package in the mail from the fine people at [url]AmericanMule.com[/url] which contained the new Public Enemy graphic novel (yes, that's right), a promo "limited edition 6 track ep collector's cd" called, "Enemy Nation: Rise of the Machines" AND a bonus free copy of PE's "New Whirl Odor" cd. The cover of said cd has a guy in a hasmat suit opening canisters. To the side are a few unopened canisters. One is labeled "radiation" the other is labeled "AIDS".

If I had a dollar for every bucket of AIDS I've had to deal with.. bit-dit-dippity! scoot.

If you don't want comics to make fun of the shithole where you're having an open mic: don't have an open mic at a shithole...but maybe that's just my tiny wittle bwain that can't understand vawying wevels talking...

Perhaps the name of the open mic is misleading. One could assume the "Dive" in "Dive" Laughing is a pejorative discribing the venue, thus giving comedians carte blanche to deride and disparage said venue using the kind of persiflage that that smegma-stain of a bar deserves. Calling the bar you host your open mic in a "Dive", then becoming unsettled when mindless drones such as Corey Reppond follow your lead is hippocracy in it's truest form. Shame on you Mr. Perry, shame on you.

Perhaps changing the name of the open mic to "Happy Hug Fun at Springwater" or "There's no AIDS at Springwater" would remove some of the cognitive dissonance associated with your event.
